About Bitfolio

An independent explainer desk for people who want to understand financial news, not trade on it.

What is Bitfolio?

Bitfolio is an English-language explainer site covering five beats that dominate financial news today: markets, traditional finance, fintech, blockchain technology and policy. We also publish plain profiles of major crypto-assets, a glossary and calculators that show their formulas.

We are not a newsroom and we do not chase breaking news. Each page explains a concept that keeps appearing in the headlines — an order book, a stablecoin reserve, a regulation — so that the next headline makes sense.

Who is it for?

Readers who are new to the subject. We assume no background and define every term the first time it appears. If you are an expert, you may still find the source lists useful: every figure on a page links to the document it came from.

Who writes the pages?

Pages are produced by the Bitfolio Explainer Desk, a small editorial operation that uses AI tools to research and draft and a documented checking process to verify every figure against primary sources such as laws, regulators' publications, central-bank papers and official project documentation. The process is described in our editorial policy.

We do not invent bylines or credentials. Where a page needs specialist judgement we say so and point to the official source.

What will Bitfolio never do?

  • Take payment for coverage, links or placement.
  • Run advertising or affiliate links.
  • Tell you what to buy or sell, or promise returns.
  • Publish live prices, rankings or star ratings without a published method.

How can I contact the desk?
